Meet BrianBrian discovered his love of pottery in high school when he was searching for a no-fail elective and figured a pottery class would at least be an "easy A" {or "C" at the worst}. As it turned out, it was love at first spin on the wheel. Brain went on to earn a fine arts degree in ceramics, then went to work making pots right away.
At first he worked for another delightful husband and wife, potters who fostered his creative flow. Then, Brian started finding his own style, gaining inspiration from every day – savoring his morning cup of coffee, sharing meals with family, cheering on friends at races – until honing his craft and launching his own studio in the late 1980s. Why clay? Brian loves the tactile quality. The ability to form minerals and mud into usable art with his hands. But it's more than just that. He thinks art is essential to a life well lived. "I believe good design is welcoming, personal and an integral part of real life, so I try to create pots that reflect this. They must be a pleasure to use, durable, well-made, and visually appealing with interesting forms and beautiful glazes." |
Meet CorinCorin loved creating and crafting from childhood. She dreamed of having her own business, even designing a company logo at age 7... It was a start.
After 10 + years of art lessons, a graphics degree, antique hunts too numerous to count, and an obsession with baking, she developed an ever-growing appetite for all things home, especially interesting interiors and good food. The result is an eclectic sense of design. "If I love it, I'll probably get it. I never worry about something matching in my home. There's always a place for an amazing find, a piece that brings you joy or reminds you of a special time in life. The key is editing." |
